CUI Devices’ Motion Group announced the addition of plastic shaft actuator options to its C14 family of optical panel mount encoders. Ideal for a range of ventilator and associated medical applications, these 2-bit, quadrature output encoders feature incremental resolutions of 16 or 32 PPR and multiple termination types including cable, header, PCB pins, and solder holes. All C14 encoders are packaged in a rugged metal housing with several models offering IP65 ratings for added durability and resistance to moisture and contaminants. Metal shaft versions are also available.
Additional options for CUI Devices’ C14 series include a push button switch, 3.3 Vdc or 5 Vdc input voltages, horizontal or vertical orientations, 3.175 mm, 6 mm, or 6.35 mm shaft bore diameters, and 17.5 mm or 22 mm shaft lengths. These panel mount encoders further carry a -10 to 70°C operating temperature range and high reliability with a rotational and push switch life of 1,000,000 cycles.
